You cannot blame the monitor if the CPU is incompatible. Similarly, a CPU cannot be discarded if the monitor is incompatible. With every passing day, the tech world is coming forth with new breakthroughs. Amid all this, it has become pretty hard for laymen to know which tech device would be compatible with which.
The same goes for gamers, who are in dire need of understanding the features of compatible PC devices. In this article, we will target the lesser-discussed ideal gaming processor, Ryzen 5 3600, and its compatible monitors. So that next time you are about to build a gaming PC with Ryzen 5, you must know which monitor to choose.
Table of Contents
Top Gaming Monitors Compatible With Ryzen 5 3600
You can play gaming at a resolution of 1080p with Ryzen 5 3600, and fewer games are played at 1440p or 4k. Here, we compiled a list of the best Ryzen 5 3600 Monitors, which will help provide a great visual experience during gameplay.
1. BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510S Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: BenQ | Size: 24.5 Inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 400 nits | Ports: DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 , Headphone Jack
PROS
- Reliable dual speakers.
- Two HDMI ports for greater connectivity.
- Full HD resolution.
- Responsive and fast device.
- Sturdy design.
- Tiltable design.
- Easy to control and set.
- High brightness range.
CONS
- The stand is not of good quality.
- HDR is not great.
Those searching for a monitor with a higher refresh rate must consider this one. The BenQ store was not popular till it created some fantastically designed products. One such specialty by them is the monitor.
This very product is a 25.5 inches screen. For me, it is a bit small, but anyone who does not have space or wishes to have a limited screen size can go for it. The only thing which has subsided all the drawbacks here, and will definitely suit the GPU, is the refresh rate. After connecting this monitor, I felt a huge change and improvement in the performance of my Ryzen 5 3600 processor.
In addition, the response rate is also the minimum, that is 1 ms. So if you are playing some heavy-duty games, then having such a monitor will help you a lot in improving your game.
One feature which makes it an appealing monitor is its weight, and you would be surprised to know that it does not weigh more than 12.5 pounds. Usually, monitors for a gaming PC are heavier, and therefore, many people skip the idea of a gaming PC. So if you are among those people who are reluctant to buy a gaming PC only because of its weight, then adding a lighter monitor can help. Furthermore, it is tiltable and comes with an adjustable stand.
One thing which confused me was the label of HDRi technology. Even though the game display and details were quite similar to a regular monitor, some people had made me think it would give some extra performance in that expectation. I did not find it to give an extraordinary color display. Overall, it is a fine choice for fast gaming, thanks to the high refresh rate.
2. ASUS VG248QG Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Asus | Size: 24 Inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 0.5 ms | Brightness: 350 nits | Ports: HHDMI 1.4 , Displayport 1.2 ,DVI-D Dual Link , 3.5mm Audio In/Out
PROS
- FHD display.
- Comes with an earphone socket.
- VESA mount standards.
- Low blue light technology.
- Easy to control.
- Amazing brightness.
- Solid built quality.
CONS
- The power button is annoying.
- Speakers are not up to the mark.
You might be wondering if you can use an AMD processor with a G-sync monitor? So, the answer is yes, and you can easily use the AMD Ryzen card with a G-sync monitor, thanks to the innovations.
So those who wish to try this new breakthrough can try out this very model, as it comes with G-SYNC. As Asus has always been surprising us, here again, you would be blown away. Rightfully so, I was amazed like crazy. So unlike the regular gaming monitor, this one comes with a 0.5ms response rate. Yes, we have been dealing with gaming monitors with a 1ms response time minimum, but Asus has done some wonders.
As far as the feel of this response rate is concerned, so you might need to use an older monitor with a higher response rate and play the same game with the same setup. You would easily realize that 0.5 ms makes a huge difference. If you only need a monitor for 1080p gaming, then it’s a great monitor for Ryzen 5 3600.
As far as the refresh rate is concerned, it is 165Hz. A combination of a higher refresh rate and a lower response rate can definitely take you to places, provided that the GPU you use is also really fast.
To make things even better, it comes with the extreme low motion blur technology too, which would ensure that there is minimum tearing. If you are annoyed by tearing and blurring, this can be an ideal monitor for you.
Coming towards the connectivity. I did not find any problem with it. The HDMI ports are very sturdy; the only issue is the number of HDMI ports. So while purchasing it, keep in mind that it only has one. Then there is a display port too. The final verdict for this would be; that it is a fine choice for those who do not need to connect their monitor with external devices.
3. ASUS TUF Gaming VG328H1B Curved Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Asus | Size: 32 Inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 250 nits | Ports: HDMI 2.0 , D-Sub , 3.5 mm Audio In/Out
PROS
- G-SYNC compatible monitor.
- Changeable refresh and response rate.
- Easy to control monitor.
- Tiltable and swivel feature.
- Minimum glare.
- Safe for the eyes.
- Comes with ports for joysticks.
- Ideal curve size.
CONS
- The base is not very sturdy.
- The display settings are confusing.
Are you in search of some huge curved monitors? You must be because there is no way you can enjoy a powerful game without a large screen. Still, there can be personal preferences, but for us, it is the bigger screen with brighter colors that will enhance the beauty of our game.
The ASUS TUF series has always been a great way to spruce up your gaming experience, and here it has a monitor with 120% sRGB, which would ensure that you get the best color experience. One feature which I really admire is the shadow boost, and it is missing in many gaming monitors. If you have noticed, then you know that most games have dark themes. A shadow boost technology is needed to make those themes more entertaining, and ASUS has brought it for you.
Then it comes with a 1ms response rate, it is an average one, and you do not need to expect some wonders with it. However, the refresh rate is pretty ideal for any gamer.
The curve is also on point, and you will not be distracted. It is a 1.5 m curve, covering all the area in front of the gamer. Beware if you have a partner at home! Just kidding.
It is a movable screen too. Initially, I didn’t realize it. But it will be a great feature for the workers too. Overall, it is a bang for the bucks. The only issue I faced was with connectivity, but it was covered with some other extra ports. So, all in all, it can be a great option for the pro-gamers.
4. AOC C27G2Z Curved Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: AOC | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Refresh Rate: 240 Hz | Response Time: 0.5 ms | Brightness: 300 nits | Ports: DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, VGA , Headphone Jack
PROS
- Comes with an adjustable stand.
- Accidental damage warranty for safe use.
- Comes with a VA panel.
- Easy connectivity with 2 HDMI ports.
- Easy to control game settings.
- Ideal for the XBOX series.
CONS
- Black color bleeds.
- Ghosting is quite bad.
Are you ready to buy from a not so well known electronics company? Well, this is the question that pops up to me when testing this monitor. The AOC is not a very well-known company, but the type of features you would get is nothing less than an advanced and renowned electronics company.
So here we are with a review!
The number one reason to have it was the frameless design. Those looking for a gaming monitor which would go with the side monitors should try this one out. The frameless design literally meant the slim edges, giving us a smooth joined monitor display.
They have given a zero dead pixel guarantee which sounds pretty unreal, but so far I did not notice any dead pixels. In my view, getting such a guarantee is a plus, as you might not get one from a popular company.
It is a curved monitor, giving you an extra experience. The response rate is also quite low, making it the second reason to choose this monitor. The 0.5ms response rate is a fine and most advanced response rate you can get on any gaming monitor. Then the refresh rate is also beyond your thoughts. The 250 Hz refresh rate calls for an amazing combination with the Ryzen 5 3600. No need to worry about the sync, as it will easily connect with the GPU.
5. ASUS VG278QR Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Asus | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 0.5 ms | Brightness: 400 nits | Ports: DisplayPort 1.2 , HDMI 1.4 , Dual-link DVI-D
PROS
- Safe for the eyes.
- Compatible with G-sync.
- Comes with various movement features.
- Designed for smart cable management.
- Comes with a game-plus application.
- Loudspeakers.
CONS
- Is not very sturdy.
If you are someone who often changes the spaces of his PC, then such an adaptable monitor is great for you. It is a free sync monitor, which is also G-sync. Thus, you can use both these technologies whenever you want. Such expansion in graphic technology at such a price made me think that anyone who wishes to excel in the field of gaming or other graphics-related work should consider this article before it gets expensive.
Then the response time is incredible, all you need is a good internet connection, and your screen will support the fast games in a smooth manner. It comes with a 0.5 ms response time. Then the refresh rate is also pretty good, and a 165Hz refresh rate will be a fine choice for anyone who is into gaming and wants to improve his experience. As a result, Asus VG278QR is one of the best gaming monitors for Ryzen 5 3600 because of its high response time and high refresh rate, which will enhance the gaming experience.
Then there is the extreme low blur motion, which will make sure that you do not see any type of blurry images. Then the screen size is also optimum. The 27 inches monitor size would suit everyone. Those who do not have much space can also get it without much thinking.
The guide said that it comes with powerful speakers. In my view, the speakers are great, but for the extra effect, we will suggest you get the external speaker too. I have mounted it on the wall, but you can use it the way you like. Overall, I found the G-sync feature the most impressive one as you can use it with several different types of GPU without any issues.
6. ASUS TUF VG27AQ Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Asus | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 2560 x 1440 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 250 nits | Ports: DisplayPort 1.2 , Dual HDMI 2.0
PROS
- Easy connectivity.
- Nice to handle and assemble.
- Ergonomic design and style.
- Comes with HDR 10.
- VESA mounting standards.
- 3.5mm audio output port.
- 99%sRGB.
- Suitable for FPS games.
CONS
- A few dead pixels.
- It flickers a lot.
Those who are unsatisfied with a 1080p resolution monitor and cannot afford a 4k monitor must consider this 2k monitor. It is an ideal and convenient choice for any gaming session. Even though ASUS TUF has many models, this one has this unique feature for those who cannot rely on 1080p resolution for the gaming experience.
As far as I have experienced, a 2k monitor will perform ideally better than 1080p resolution; however, you must not expect it to have the details of a 4k monitor. In addition to this, it comes with a suitable response time and refreshes rate combination, which is 144Hz and 1ms, respectively.
I was very curious to try the ELMB sync on a 2k screen, and with this monitor, I got the chance. In my opinion, it has outdone itself. The height adjustment and swivel were lifesavers for me as I was supposed to play for more than 4 hours continuously. Playing at the same angle for a long can disturb our focus, so this way, it is a great choice for professional gamers.
Then while assembling this monitor, I did not have to struggle with the wires. They have made this space like a pipe behind the monitor, and you can pass all the wires through it, and thus, your PC table will be less messy.
Then it comes with two HDMI ports; it is a real blessing for professional gamers who cannot afford to use a monitor with lesser numbers of connectivity ports. Overall, you would not regret buying this monitor for your gaming PC. It is relatively affordable and gives you nearly the best possible results.
7. ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Asus | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 2560 x 1440 | Refresh Rate: 240 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 250 nits | Ports: HDMI 2.0 , DisplayPort 1.2 , 3.5 mm Audio Out
PROS
- VESA compatible.
- Impressive refresh rate.
- Comes with a cooling system.
- Comes with 7 preset displays.
- Safe for the eyes with ultra blue light tech.
- Easy and more connectivity with 3 HDMI ports.
- Compatible with Ryzen 5 3600.
CONS
- The edges are dim.
- It flickers.
It is again a 2k monitor, which would suit the same category who cannot afford a 4k monitor. This will be a better alternative, instead of getting a 1080p resolution gaming monitor.
I tried this monitor to play FPS games, as it comes with the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer. So in my view, it did help me a lot to improve my game, but sometimes, it just did not support the response time. Even though it claims to have a response time of 1 ms, maybe it was because of the internet connection, but still, it would be regarded as average.
Then it has the 400HDR, which is also a cherry on the top, especially for the shooting and aiming games. However, the brightness level did not support this HDR much. Even though the brightness level is pretty much adjustable, I did not find it to make a huge difference.
One more thing, which intrigued me a lot, was the combination of a WQHD screen and the 27 inches size. In general, the WQHD screens are suitable for larger screens like a 32 inches monitor. So I tried to test that aspect too, and now I believe that to spruce up any shooting game, a WQHD will be far better than a simple QHD. So it was quite impressive for me.
You should buy this monitor for Ryzen 5 3600 if you like to play games on a widescreen. Overall, it is a lightweight monitor, and I did not have to call my son to carry it. You can have it, especially for shooting and aiming games.
8. GIGABYTE G27QC A Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Gigabyte | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 2560 x 1440 | Refresh Rate: 165 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 250 nits | Ports: HDMI 2.0 , DisplayPort 1.4 , 3.5 mm Audio Out
PROS
- Ergonomic and sturdy design.
- Very lightweight.
- VESA compatible.
- Suitable for both Free sync and G-sync.
- Easy to set display with OSD sidekick.
CONS
- Making connections is a struggle.
Finding a good curved monitor is hard because then you will be looking for some extra features. But when your goal is to get it according to the Ryzen 5 3600, then it adds to the search scheme. The Gigabyte gaming monitors are designed to support all kinds of gaming software and tools, so it is out of the question that it will not support the AMD Ryzen 5 3600. It comes with the AMD freesync premium feature. In addition, it is also G-sync compatible.
It is a QHD screen, giving a 1440p resolution. However, considering it to be the best option for shooting games will be wrong. It can be a good choice for fighting, arcade, and racing games instead.
Now coming towards the curve, so you will find it quite easy to focus on the game. It has a 1.5m curved screen. The only thing which turned me off from this monitor was the confusing description. Connectivity was also a fuss. A novice player will need to consult some professionals to find out the process of connecting to get the desired refresh rates.
9. MSI Non-Glare Ultra Wide OPTIX MPG341CQR
Specifications:
Brand: MSI | Size: 34 Inches | Resolution: 3440 X 1440 | Refresh Rate: 144 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 400 nits | Ports: HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, USB
PROS
- Ultra-wide display.
- Ideal for the dark scenes.
- Minimum blur.
- Connectivity with USB c.
- Reliable stand, and swivel feature.
- Easy to set.
CONS
- Not ideal for consoles.
- Heat dissipation is too much.
Have you bought a huge table for the gaming PC? And want to explore the world of wide screens? Then this is a fine choice for you. Even though I did not have a large table., but just to check out this very monitor, I ordered it to put it at my dining table.
I was afraid about the resolution of such a large 34 inches gaming monitor. Thankfully, the MSI company noticed it while manufacturing and gave it a UWQHD. Yes, it is way more than QHD and WQHD. Now coming towards the actual experience, just like I mentioned, I was afraid of flickering and tearing. So with the UWQHD, it did not happen. You can easily use this monitor for shooting and aiming games.
It is a curved monitor, so again it cannot be the regular 1.5m curve. The reason for that is pretty logical. A 34 inches monitor will cover a larger curve, so here we are with a 1.8m curved monitor screen. Then it comes with a 3k resolution, I was expecting a 4k, but here they have created things a bit cheaper. For me, it is nothing less than the 4K resolution, and the sole reason for that is the ideal HDR and brightness. It comes with a 400 HDR and adjustable brightness.
It is indeed compatible with AMD Ryzen 5 3600, as it has the free sync feature. I don’t know if you will be able to use it for G-sync.
One feature, which is a downside is the heat, it was expected. A large and wide monitor will give out excessive heat, and it does so.
10. LG 27GN950-B Ultragear Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: LG | Size: 27 Inches | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Refresh Rate: 144 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: Upto 600 nits | Ports: DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 , USB 3.0, Headphone Jack
PROS
- Amazing color display with HDR 600.
- Gives a wide range of options for GPU.
- Ideal for creatives and designers.
- Great build quality.
- Borderless monitor.
- Comes with all the ports.
CONS
- The number of ports is very limited.
If you are searching for a monitor which goes well both for gaming and works regarding graphics, then do have a look at this one. The reason for this urge is the nano IPS technology. It is a color-critical monitor with a UHD display. A gamer who wishes to increase focus should also try this one.
For the GPU, you will get various options. As it has the Free sync premium pro, and it is also G-sync compatible. You can connect your monitor with any advanced GPU without thinking much. It also calls for the AMD ryzen processors, you can also go for the regular Intel processors, but there will be no harm in using the AMD processors.
Now, for the real experience, I did not feel any fading or blurring during my use. I first tried it with 60hz for regular work, and it was smooth. Then with the 144Hz, I did notice a slight color flicker, which was not very significant.
The overall look of the monitor is 4-sided borderless, with a VESA mount. You can easily adjust it on a wall, which I did not. It is a 27 inches screen, and one can easily set it on the table.
11. GIGABYTE G27Q Gaming Monitor
Specifications:
Brand: Gigabyte | Size: 32 Inches | Resolution: 2560 x 1440 | Refresh Rate: 144 Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Brightness: 250 nits | Ports: HDMI 2.0 , DisplayPort 1.4 , 3.5 mm Audio Out
PROS
- Sturdy design.
- Easy to set.
- Minimum response rate.
- Greater pixel number.
- QHD Screen.
- Suitable for creative work as it has an IPS display.
CONS
- Blackbleeding.
- It flickers.
Who does not like more pixels on his screen? So here we are with a 2560x1440p display. Now I was wondering where I would be able to use it? So I have found it to be greatly suitable for racing and arcade games. Furthermore, anyone who is into designing and creative works can also choose this device.
For the processor’s compatibility, I have tested it with both an Intel processor. In this case, I had the Intel i7 and then the AMD Ryzen 5 3600. It worked perfectly fine with both; I was afraid because monitors with minimum response time and a larger number of pixels need more power, especially when you do online gaming, but with these processors, it worked smooth.
Overall, it is a fine choice, but with little imperfections such as black bleeding and flickering. You might overcome them with a powerful processor and a good internet connection.
Best Monitors for AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Buyer Guide
Choosing a gaming monitor with respect to the processor is a hard thing. You should first understand the processor and then choose the monitor. With this belief that most of the readers already know the salient features of the processor, I will start this with the specification of the monitor only.
A Few Features to Keep in Mind
The size of the monitor
You might be thinking that the size must not be linked with the processor. It is not the case. The ideal size of a gaming monitor, the better it would be for the users. As AMD Ryzen processors are used for gaming sessions mostly, the ideal size of any monitor which would be used with this processor could be more than or equal to 27 inches.
Number of pixels
As the AMD ryzen 5 3600 processor can support a higher number of pixels, it would be better to choose the monitor as such. However, we do not advise you to go for a 4k monitor, as the processor might get overburdened with it. A 2k monitor at max will be the ideal choice.
The refresh rate
The higher the refresh rate, the better it would be. So the ideal refresh rate of any gaming monitor will be 165Hz or more. Those who are not into professional gaming can also go for a bit lower. However, the limit would be 120Hz.
HDR and brightness
Without the HDR and brightness feature, there is no point in setting up a gaming PC. The ideal HDR is HDR 400 for any gaming monitor with AMD ryzen 5 3600. If you are able to get a higher HDR, then it would be better.
While considering HDR, one should also think about the level of brightness. It also has to be more than the regular monitors.
Final words:
Choosing a gaming monitor seems pretty easy, but it is not. You must know the compatibility of all the additional and primary features to find out if that is the best. Other than that, a simple research can have a great impact too. In our opinion, any gaming monitor with higher pixels and a wide compatibility range with a powerful GPU will be a fine choice for the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor.
FAQs:
Yes, it can easily run at 144hz refresh rate. However, it will not work with 1080p resolution, and you will go for 1440p resolution to make it work.
